The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

Its design is also superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It was able capture sand, small gravel and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to know if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and even the capability to dry and wash mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the premium features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is an area which many robot vacuums can really fail. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few misses in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas, alter your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make this machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is easy. It also has an impressive LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.

The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes various tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robot vacuums I've tried that does a really good job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the home. It's also unable to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do it all.

If you're looking to save money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine there are many alternatives available which include a variety of eufy models for significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers an identical experience on the app with more features, including stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.

Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on carpets and hard floors, as well as mopping functions at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, simply snap on one of the side brush, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app guides you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock near an outlet for power and ample space for it to move, however.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact It can be placed under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models.
