Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever thought of purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so you can tell the robot to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot floor cleaner robot mop that we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.
Its design is also an improvement over the rest and features a sleek, top robot vacuum piece that looks more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It was able capture sand, small gravel and even a bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The j7+ is still a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to tell if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the ideal choice. This category of bots typically includes a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your house at the same time. They also come with a variety of extra features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. While it may not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent choice when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeably soft around obstacles like tables and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem which many robot vacuums often fail. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few misses in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled with a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas and modify your home map or change the room's label.
If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is simple. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't a necessary feature for the majority of people however it can assist you in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are among the best affordable robot vacuum Roborock Vacuum [Mkf.Sportedu.Ru] on the market however it's expensive.
The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is quite compact. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes numerous tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the only robovacs that I've tried that does very well at picking up debris on bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain areas of your home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the price tag.
If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive however it comes with more features, including stair climbing and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile, and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of creating robot vacuum cleaner quiet vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, simply attach one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock near a power outlet and plenty of room for it to move around, however.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It is sleek with a black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and where it can't access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has the same battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundaries that restrict it from certain areas. The G30 however is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as often and it's less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
